Investment Advice
Investment advice is the primary reason that clients seek help from financial
planners. Advice in this area can range from a simple review of an
individual's 401(k) allocation, which would be on an hourly basis, to a complete
fee-based asset allocation of all retirement , non-qualified, and college
savings accounts.
There are three requirements for successful investing:
-
Knowledge
of investment strategies and the financial markets,
-
Willingness to dedicate
the time required to gain the knowledge necessary to stay abreast of current
conditions and to implement a strategy, and
-
The motivation to do steps 1 and 2
on a consistent basis
Even if you have mastered the three requirements above, there is one more
issue that is difficult to control. Your emotions! Studies of
investor behavior consistently show that most investors act irrationally
with their investments - selling low in a panic or buying high when the markets
are doing well. Most individual investment enthusiasts behave this way.
The cost of this "hobby" can be very high.
As a Registered Investment Advisory (RIA) firm, Murray Financial, Inc.
provides as a service the three requirements listed above, will insulate you from your investment
emotions, and will assist you with all your investment planning needs.
